I have been building websites since 2000, developing from HTML to XHTML & CSS, to PHP & MySQL.
Integrated throughout my developments you will find evidence of HTML, XHTML, DHTML, ActionScript, JavaScript, Ajax and some Flash; some static and some dynamic content, common and bespoke editing systems, secure areas, uploads, downloads and logging.
I specialise in websites with customised editing interfaces (or Content Management Systems (CMS) to give it the full title). Although mine are much simpler compared to 99% of what is generally used. The advantage of having a CMS that is simple and easy to use is clear. It allows the ability to quickly and easily edit only the areas of the site that you need to, avoiding the usual difficulties of complex editing systems and risks that something that you do will break it.
On the right are a number of categories containing code examples and some cool functions that I have either written myself, or come across in the course of website development. If they are helpful to you – great. (My time in categorising them and key-wording them will not have been wasted.) Choose a CATEGORY or TAG and have a look.
